Eurail Greek Islands Pass Details

The Eurail Greek Islands Pass is the most convenient pass allowing you to enjoy island hopping through the beautiful scenery of the Greek islands aboard the ferries operated by Attica Group.

Domestic & International Trips (Between Italy & Greece)

  • The Eurail Greek Islands Pass offers 6 ferry crossings consisting of 1 trip Italy to Greece, 1 trip Greece to Italy, and 4 domestic trips to Greek islands in a one month period
  • The Pass is only valid on vessels belonging to the Attica Super Fast ferries on the international routes and on Blue Star Ferries on the domestic ferries routes and special conditions apply
  • The pass gives travellers flexible travel from Italy to Greece and between Greek islands with just one pass
  • Passengers can decide individually which islands they want to visit and how long they want to stay on each single island
  • Trips may be taken consecutively or non-consecutively
  • TRAINOSE Rail/bus transfer from the international port of Patras to the domestic port of Piraeus
  • Domestic crossings offer Economy Class type only
  • 1st class customers are entitled to a bed in a shared 4-bed inside cabin with WC & shower facilities on International routes; economy class (open seating in the lounge(s)/restaurant(s)) on domestic routes
  • 2nd class customers are entitled to aircraft type seats on international; economy class (open seating in the lounge(s)/restaurant(s)) on domestic routes

  • Valid for 5 domestic ferry crossings within a 1 month period on the following routes:

    North-East Aegean

    • Piraeus to Chios - Mytilene

    Crete (Chania & Heraklion) - Anek Lines only

Things to note:

  • Ferries must be booked directly with the operator. Contact us for more details.
  • Reservations are recommended at least 1 month in advance (especially in summer months)
  • An additional charge will apply to upgrade the level of accommodation.
  • Passengers are advised to arrive 1.5-2 hours before the departure at the port.
  • To start using the pass it must be validated at a European Eurail Aid office before your first journey.
  • You must record your trip in the Travel Report section prior to boarding. (Penalties apply if this is not done).

NOTE: Not all crossings are daily and limited International and Domestic journeys operate during the Summer period only.

Youth & Child Fares

  • Travellers aged 12 to 27 can travel with a 1st Class or 2nd Class Youth Pass
  • Children aged between 4 and 11 travel for free with a Child Pass.
    • A child must be accompanied at all times by at least one person with an Adult Pass or Adult Saver Pass. The Adult does not have to be a family member and can be anyone over 18 years old.
    • Up to two children can travel with one adult. For example, when two adults are traveling, they can take four children with them. If more than two children are traveling with one adult, a separate 1st class Youth Pass needs to be purchased for the additional children.
  • Children under 4 travel for free and do not need a pass. The child under 4 is not entitled to a seat and during busy times the child may be required to sit on the accompanied adult’s lap. If a separate accommodation is required for a child under 4, a Child Pass must be purchased and counts towards the adult/child ratio listed above for the free child pass
